NAILD Crew Tuesday Night
The annual NAILD Convention was a hit as it always is! It was set at the prestigious St. Paul Hotel as guests flew in from all over the country as well as Canada to get together, talk lighting and reminisce.
Monday night was spent rocking out to the dueling pianos while dinner was served! The food and service by the way was tremendous throughout at the St. Paul Hotel. Good times were had and the group was eager for the all-day Tuesday festivities to begin.
The showfloor opened bright and early Tuesday morning with Keynote Speaker Gregory Cleary giving an excellent presentation on The Anatomy of a Sale. All the NAILD members were mixed in amongst each other, vendors and distributors alike, which allowed for each table to share differing perspectives on industry topics.
After that, Wayne Callum from Linmore LED made a presentation discussing practical application of energy codes and how that can lead to more business. Chad Palmer did a fine job moderating the discussion as there was good back and forth dialogue going on around the entire room. One of the great things at these NAILD conferences is with all the lighting knowledge in the room, great questions are asked and you never know where the discussion will lead to!
Distributors and vendors then had match-making time where they got to meet up quick and learn about new offerings. After that it was off to the St. Paul Saints game! NAILD President Brian Huff got to throw out the first pitch to commemorate the event.
Wednesday morning the action was still going on at the St. Paul Hotel as Jan Lehman was introduced and she discussed worker productivity, working smarter and software to leverage to aid these efforts.
Thanks to all the guests that attended as well as all the distributors and vendor members of NAILD that help make it all happen! Big credit also goes to Erin, the management team, and the NAILD Board of Directors for their efforts in having the show run so smoothly. For 2025 we will be back in St. Paul again to meet up and it will be in September or October 2025. Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming announcement and we will see you soon!
