NAILD’s Lighting and Darkness Foundation has joined forces with Save Wasatch Back Dark Skies to fight a potential light pollution travesty in Wasatch County, Utah.
Greg Ehrich gave a technical presentation and Michael Colligan made an emotional appeal to the Planning Committee of Wasatch County in Utah.
The goal of Save Wasatch Back Dark Skies and the Lighting and Darkness Foundation is to convince county officials to strengthen their local lighting ordinance to prevent uplight.
Wasatch County is currently a pristine night environment with gorgeous mountain range to mountain range starry skies. The county has decided to allow uplight which will begin the destructive process of light pollution.
