NAILD ANNOUNCES WORLD-RENOWNED
KEYNOTE SPEAKER FOR 2014 CONFERENCE
The NAILD 2014 Conference, April 6–9, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has an “A” list of speakers starting with a keynote by Rogier Van der Heide. Rogier’s incredible experience as VP of Design at Philips, member of the Advisory Committee of the Vitra Design Museum, Artistic Director of the Amsterdam Light Festival and Curator of the festival “5 Dutch Days” in New York City means that he has outstanding examples, case studies and experience to share. His inspiring talk on TED.com has attracted over 500,000 viewers. He is also listed on Wikipedia.
Wherever Rogier speaks and presents his talks to business people, designers, students or scientists, people enjoy the humility he combines with incredible passion for design for a changing world.
When asked what he would address to the NAILD membership, he replied “Our profession is in big change so that means that I would like to speak about the disruptive transformation and the new and re-invented role of the distributor in the future. The way I would approach the topic is optimistic but with a great awareness of the need to challenge the distributors on their current role and their future business model: how will they create value in a market where manufacturers increasingly reach out to the end user themselves.”
2014 marks a changing light in the NAILD world and this conference will introduce new innovations, programs and tours, all designed to make attendance a vital part of professional and business development for attendees.
